Abigail Disney: My Inaugural "Family Business Person of the Year" Award Winner

My one-woman jury is unanimous: Abigail Disney is the winner of Ownership Observer's Family Business Person of the Year Award, because she is a harbinger of the future. Even if she's not a blockholder of the company (Observers, is she?), her last names guarantees that her voice will carry above the fray, and she's using social media to put the increasingly specious commitments to purpose and social responsibility by the Business Roundtable to shame.

Her message boils down to one simple, irreducible eminently Tweetable truth, that only someone with a Disney surname can deliver so compellingly:

Show me the money.

Namely, show me the money during Covid, through capped executive pay and capped executive bonuses, higher pay for workers, and pay for workers, rather than layoffs.

As always, dissent welcome. Do you disagree with Ms. Disney? Who would you nominate for Ownership Observer's inaugural award?
